Centre Stage: Unplugged

The creative concept, design and multi-channel campaign for a cabaret

The Challenge

To concept the visual graphics and theme for the cabaret  and create a marketing strategy to promote the show and sell tickets. Working closely with the show's production team.

The Solution

I worked closely with the creative and production teams, as the concept of the show was about performing popular songs from the charts and musicals without electrical instruments, i.e piano and guitar.

I created a few options for the logo but the production team liked the idea of the sketched hand drawn logo. I used this logo across marketing platforms and as a theme across the show, with it used on clothing and in the programme.

The concept for the printed programme was to be like a newspaper, it was printed on recycled paper and in black and white (except for the logo) and the cast and production information was written as news articles. This was folded in half twice and handed out as people entered the theatre. I tied the whole concept together and the production team were very happy.
